Preparing engagements
I can't find the project I am looking for
We are currently only supporting projects that are listed on Coingecko.
If the project is available on Coingecko but not in the dropdown, please contact us at support@forgd.com and we'll help you out.
I don't know all engagement details
If you don't know all the details of your engagement, you can leave them blank for now. You can always update them later.
Make sure to fill in the engagement details as accurately as possible because they will impact your leaderboard rank and kpis.
The engagement details have changed
Every time your engagement details change, you will need to update them in the Forgd Liquidity Portal.
Make sure to keep your engagement details up to date as they will impact your leaderboard rank and kpis.
The engagement has been closed
If your engagement with the project has been closed, you should close it in the Forgd Liquidity Portal as well.
Make sure to close the engagements that are no longer active, otherwise you might receive notifications about missing reports.
I created an engagement by mistake
If you created an engagement by mistake, you can delete it by clicking on the "Delete Engagement" button in the Forgd Liquidity Portal.
Obtaining an API key
Testing your API key
To test your API key, you can use the following curl command:
curl -X GET "https://data.api.forgd.com/api/v1/exchanges" -H "Authorization: <your-api-key>"✅
HTTP 200- your API key is valid and the response will contain a list of exchanges with their IDs and names⛔
HTTP 401- there was a problem with authenticating your request - check response body for more details (common issues are missing, invalid or removed API key in the header)⚠️
HTTP 5XX- server failed with internal error, we will be notified internally and will investigate the issue but please contact us at support@forgd.com if the problem persists
Lost API key
If you have lost your API key, you can generate a new one and update the integration to use the new key. You can generate and have up to 10 active API keys at any given time.
It is recommended to delete API keys that are no longer used to avoid any confusion.
Compromised API key
If you suspect that your API key has been compromised and might have been intercepted by a third party, you should immediately delete it and generate a new one.
The API keys are used solely for the integration and are not used for any other purpose. API keys do not grant access to your Liquidity Portal account. Your Liquidity Portal account is not affected and you can continue using it as usual.
If you have any security concerns or suspect that your API key has been used for malicious purposes, please contact us at support@forgd.com.
Submitting reports
How often should I submit the reports?

You can submit the report for any date in the past but it is recommended to submit the reports daily for the previous day to keep your data up to date for your engaged projects that are tracking your performance.

Report Submitted But Not Showing Up
Your report was successfully submitted but is not appearing in the monitoring dashboard. This typically occurs when Forgd cannot match your submitted report with the collected market data for the reported project.
This can happen for several reasons:
- Unsupported Exchange: The exchange you reported trading on is not supported by Forgd market data collection
- Project Not Listed On Exchange: The exchange does not have the project you reported listed, even though it may exist on other exchanges
- Trading Pair Not Listed On Exchange: The project is listed on the exchange but the specific trading pair you reported is not available on that exchange
- Date Before Engagement: The report date is before the engagement was created
- Trading Pair Is Not Spot: Forgd supports reports only for spot trading pairs, derivatives trading pairs are not supported
- Data Collection Gaps: Forgd may be missing market data for the exchange, project, or trading pair due to data source limitations
To resolve this issue, please verify that:
- The exchange you're reporting for is supported on our exchanges page
- The project is actually listed on that exchange
- The trading pair matches exactly what is listed on the exchange
Verify on CoinGecko: You can quickly verify that a trading pair is listed on a specific exchange by checking CoinGecko. Simply search for the project and look for the exchange and trading pair on the project's page.
Check past reports: You can also query your past reports using the GET /reports endpoint to check the eligibilityStatus field, which will indicate if there were any issues with market data matching for your submitted reports.
If you continue to experience issues after verifying these details, please contact us at support@forgd.com with the specific exchange, project, and trading pair details.
